Site Rules - For Guests

~ … I N T R O D U C T I O N: … ~

Due to the fact that most guests like a glimpse of what they will find in a forum, I deemed it right to make a draft of the main rules for this forum and what is expected of guests who wish to join. This was also suggested by most helpful members, so if when joining you have any suggestions please feel free to address myself (Morwen) or Alexander and we will be more than happy to help. Take in mind that strict rules are needed in order to keep a site going, however we are by far friendly and enjoy helping new members get sorted and ready to start to RPG.


1.- Respect the PLOT ::

This means that since we have a story that consists on all that has been going on, you must all read it and keep that in mind. It is important because if you make up anything that doesn't cope well with it, it will be considered as if the rules were broken. To respect the plot means RESPECT IT.

1.1.- Concerning sub-plots ::

All members will be required to monthly pm the Admin (Morwen) or moderator (Bridie) the updates on the plots of every character each person possesses. To do so see the website’s main rules after joining.

2.- About joining ::

If you ‘do’ decide to join please register with your character’s name and surname (if applicable). This makes it easier for new members to slowly fit in the environment of the website and to easily be identified as their characters once their biographies have been completed and accepted.

For example: Conan the Barbarian or Arwen Undomiel.

3.- About the Role play-(rated 15) ::

It is important that you know that your character is not all mighty, there is something called vulnerabilities, even the Valar have them so please do not make your character untouchable since there is no such thing.

Gmoding as you all know is not permitted; it is PROHIBITED . If your character dies you may not arise (Unless you are a wizard and that is not totally arising but has another specific name ‘rebirth’) and for that reason it must be specified clearly on the first post after returning to life. Concerning the length of the post: You most, at LEAST write five lines, there is no point in RPG then if you write one line. It is absurd to read things like:

“Enters the pub, looks around, sits all alone and drinks beer.”

Or

“No”, he said.

A realm is conquered within 3 days of inactivity by the rulers of such realms unless the rulers warn any member of Staff of any reason why that person may not be able to post and how long will he / she be inactive. To avoid this from happening too quick, anyone that wishes to rule must have 100 posts at least to apply for ruler-ship and show good and reasonable his or her posting is. 4.- Affiliates:

If you want to affiliate there is a place to do it, not EVERYWHERE … that is Spam! And if you joined the site to advertise your account will be deleted. Do NOT pm any member sending them the link to your site and do not use the say box to do so either, those things are deleted and so the person that does that can even get banned from the forum.

5.-Characters:

Limit yourself on the amount of characters that you choose to have, if you think that you can handle seven characters then so be it but with one condition: to have them all active because if you don't do so the characters you stop posting with will be deleted.

Same goes to inactive members that haven't post over decades, they will be deleted unless they send the Admin ’Morwen', or any of us other members of staff (Alexander, Timbawa or Bridie) a pm with the reasons of their departure. 6.-Respect other members ::

Do not insult other members and don't pretend to be a ‘member’ that you are not, do not misuse that person's character just to keep up with your plan or whatever. If someone has an image on their banner about some actor don't use the same image, it is very silly for a person to have an image and then another to have the same since the images we show are supposed to be the physical descriptions of the characters we make, unless those characters are twins.

7.- Language ::

Use common sense, this is supposed to be Middle Earth, don't use words like 'wanna', 'gonna', 'cause', 'aint', it's not like we are doing a rap song nor story. the ´f´ word is not allowed either unless you are in the random section. Stick to your character's age and maturity, you will not write using the same language with a kid than with a grown up, adapt it! Check your spelling too, that's the reason why we have a spell check, not as means of decoration. And if your character is very angry make up curses like "What in the Void!”… things like that, only when the circumstances make it that a character shows strong emotions.

8.- Everyone must have a Biography ::

It must be posted it in ‘Óre Annon: Character Templates’, once accepted by the Admin or any other Staff members you can begin posting. All new members have a limit of 7 days (1 week) to make their biographies and finish them. Any help needed contact Morwen, Alexander or Bridie. If this is not complied their accounts will be deleted within the 8th day. For more information and guidelines regarding this, please see the main rules for more information, once registered.

9.- Concerning The Activity of Rulers ::

Rulers are to be the most active members since a whole land depend on them. If you post only once just so you can keep "ruling" by posting in the "Ruler's Role Call" you have one week and a half before the Staff urge the Admin to take your name off your land. I know you all have excuses and busy lives, but either you're going to post and be active or not. Being a ruler means that you have to be active or the board starts to die. The choice is yours. 10.- Magic rules ::

Since there was magic in Middle Earth, Alexander had the brilliant idea and effort regarding the making of magic rules and powers. Please read --- here --- and follow the rules applicable to your character. Ensure you keep that thread updated by stating which of your characters are magic folk. 11.- Character Stats ::

After making your character biographies and once they are accepted please ensure to fill in the form in the -- link provided-- to ensure the thread keeps updated.
